Thank you for joining us for the Exemplars webinar: Fostering Empathy and Resilience in Math Classrooms Through Differentiation and Performance Tasks.
Empathy. Engagement. Rich Tasks. Students learn best when their classrooms are differentiated to meet their individual needs.
In our session, we discussed how to reach students who span the range of understanding, engagement, and abilities—a range that’s wider than ever after COVID’s many disruptions.
When teachers bring empathy with them for their student's individual stories and provide research-based differentiation towards the content, process, product, and learning environment we can help every student succeed. By strengthening relationships with our students, providing clarity in our expectations, ensuring the relevance of the activities we ask students to engage in, and creating various flexible grouping arrangements throughout the week we can help to engage all students.
During the session, we highlighted several resources designed to support and develop student resilience to help them achieve success. Give them a try in your classroom and get your students excited to learn math!
