Suzanne was extremely helpful. I appreciate the change and shift in vocabulary about math and our kiddos learning. Changing from solving problems to problem solving. I appreciate her excitement for math and keeping us engaged with this new and exciting material. I am leaving with many ideas for how I am going to make math more interesting for my kids and to get away from some of the basic concepts. I want to apply more deeper thinking and this is where I am starting. Suzanne's love of math and helping students gain these connections and think these ways are attractive and life changing. I want to do the same for my first graders. Thank you for making math fun and reminding us to do the same. It invigorates me to want to do so much more and get out of the "slump" of the basic concepts. While those are important to it is nice to be reminded that we are changing the way they interpret and think about things, many things, and I am very grateful for your time today!
