I teach in a public charter school in a low-income, highly transient, bilingual community. Out of my 25 students, 19 speak both Spanish and English, with 7 of them being primarily Spanish-speaking and still learning English. Because of that, I am always thinking about how to make math as accessible as possible while still pushing my students to think creatively.
